Here, I'm sharing sentences or thoughts that make my heart and mind hit the pause and rewind button. I hope you find some encouragement here!
Posted: April 8, 2015 Folks don't like to have somebody around knowin' more than they do. It aggravates 'em. You're not gonna change any of them by talkin' right, they've got to want to learn themselves, and when they don't want to learn there's nothing you can do but keep your month shut or talk their language."

Trusting Jesus is hard. It requires following the unseen into an unknown, and believing Jesus’s words over and against the threats we see or the fears we feel.

This is from Dr. Harley Rotbart, author of "No Regrets Parenting." Between the day your child is born, and the time he or she turns 18, you get 940 Saturdays. Another reminder for me to parent purposefully

It doesn't have to be perfect. It needs to be done.
I consider the following 29 quotes my "starter" set. In October 2011, I participated in a 31 day blog series. My topic was "31 Days of Words for the Daily Dash." I still hear these sayings in my head all the time. I've talked about them at length, so to avoid being redundant, I don't want to emphasize them again on the front page of my blog. But because they are big ones for me, I didn't want to leave them off this page either.
If you're interested in reading what I said about each one, visit the October 2011 posts.
